Chief of Staff

The Chief of Staff serves as the principal organizational leader responsible for driving the internal operations, strategic coordination, and overall functionality of USG. The Chief of Staff oversees all organizational functions and works closely with the executive team to ensure that USG operates as an effective, transparent, and student-centered body. Through strategic planning, cross-functional leadership, and operational oversight, the Chief of Staff ensures that USG advances its mission and delivers tangible outcomes for the student body.

Chief Financial Officer 

The CFO’s role involves handling USG's share of the Student Activity Fee, a fee that every undergraduate student is required to pay, managing the Coke Endowment Grant money that our organization receives, and overseeing the allocation of this money to outside student organizations, philanthropies, events, scholarships, and more. It is the CFO’s job to ensure that this money is spent fairly and ethically.

Senior Director of Allocations

The Senior Director of Allocations sits as the Chair of the Allocations Committee of General Assembly. In this role, the Senior Director of Allocations works with the CFO to provide oversight on USG's budget; while focusing primarily on working with the General Assembly's Senators to provide funding for student organizations.

Senior Director of Engagement

The Senior Director of Engagement is responsible for cultivating programming for older members in the organization to critically engage with one another in areas such as social justice, leadership development, and engaging younger members.

Senior Director of Issues

The Senior Director of Issues is responsible for overseeing all issue committee events, initiatives, and programs to further increase student engagement while advocating on behalf of students. The SDI connects and collaborates with Senior Staff as a liaison for the issues committees, helping to ensure the efficiency and success of the organization.

Senior Director of Operations

The Senior Director of Operations is responsible for supporting the logistical, structural, and internal functions of the organization to ensure that USG operates smoothly and effectively. This includes helping manage internal processes, organizational accountability, and supporting leadership transitions and onboarding.

Senior Director of Communications

The Senior Director of Communications leads USG’s efforts to ensure transparency, accessibility, and student awareness of the organization’s resources, events, programming, and advocacy. Through intentional, student-centered communications, the Senior Director works to keep USG visible, accountable, and connected to the student body.

Chair of the Undergraduate Caucus

The Chair of the Undergraduate Caucus leads the undergraduate delegation to University Senate where faculty, students, and administrators legislate on behalf of the Board of Trustees. The Chair's responsibilities include collaborating with the Vice Chairs and university-level senators to execute USG's policy goals and advocating for students through Ohio State's unique Shared Governance system.

Chairs of the Black Caucus

The Chairs of the Undergraduate Black Caucus aim to foster an inclusive and equitable on-campus environment through outreach and partnership to ensure the concerns, interests, and needs of the Black community are heard and addressed within the student government through advocacy of policy, events, workshops, and initiatives.
