Student Affairs

Role and Mission:

The Student Affairs committee strives to advance the Student Quality of Life at The Ohio State University. We have identified four factors as benchmarks for improvement: Affordability, Accountability, Accessibility, and Advance-ability. We aim to consider these factors as we undertake projects to better the existing features of Student Life, and target and fulfill the need for additional resources and opportunities.

Projects

Clean Up Columbus

Our monthly event where student organizations can sign up to pick up trash around campus, and in return, they can receive $100 or service hours. For our most recent November Clean Up, we had 68 organizations participate and had 140 bags of trash picked up.

Airport Shuttle

Our free airport shuttle that runs to and from campus to John Glenn airport during all school breaks. Dates and times for the shuttle can be found at ttm.osu.edu.

Buckeye Road Trip

Buckeye road trip, which is a low-cost charter bus program during Thanksgiving break that brings students home. We have buses going to Cleveland, Cincinnati, Toledo, Pittsburgh, Chicago, and Philadelphia.

Adulting Week

For a week, Student Affairs hosts Adulting Week for all OSU students campus-wide to learn necessary life skills. Skills like finances, renting, and cooking are just some examples of what students discover during Adulting Week.

Buckeye 5k

The Buckeye 5K is a beloved annual tradition bringing students, faculty, and the community together for a fun and active experience. Join fellow Buckeyes as you race around the world-famous Oval, soaking in the energy and spirit of campus. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a great time with friends and family, this event is open to all skill levels.
