Health & Safety
Role and Mission
Our goal as a committee is to promote the physical and mental wellbeing of the undergraduate student body, as well as advocate for the continuous implementation of safety measures throughout the university area. The Health & Safety committee hosts Buck-I-Health Day to promote the health and wellbeing of students, and provide additional resources to make students more successful. Our committee also collaborates with health organizations on campus to spread awareness of existing resources. Some events in collaboration with Counseling & Consultation Services, the Student Wellness Center, and Student Health Services include: Love Your Body Day, Mental Health workshops, Boo to the Flu, and various Women's Health presentations. As we continue to advocate for student health, our current mission is to find new ways to keep our students safe on and off campus.

Accomplishments
• Flu Vacancy Drive every fall
*This committee is in a unique position. The cohort consists of students who are passionate about public policy/government and the health sciences. This committee is therefore very inter-disciplinary and gets to work alongside many different branches of OSU from the police department to the student health center. Committed members get the opportunity to gain hands-on leadership experience planning such events and more on themes/issues they are passionate about.
