Vice President

The role of the Vice President of the Undergraduate Student Government is to advocate on behalf of undergraduate students regarding issues pertaining to all aspects of the student experience. The Vice President regularly meets with administrators to effectively accomplish policy goals. In addition, this position entails serving as a liaison to the General Assembly, and work with the Chair of the Undergraduate Caucus to make appointments for the 90 undergraduate student seats in University Senate and University Senate Committees.

Madison Mason is a driven and accomplished student currently pursuing a degree in Political Science with minors in Civic Engagement and Philosophy at The Ohio State University. Madison has not only excelled academically, which is demonstrated through her continuous Dean’s List recognition since coming to Ohio State, but has also demonstrated exceptional leadership and advocacy skills through her involvement in the Undergraduate Student Government (USG). As the Vice-President of the Undergraduate Student Body at Ohio State, she has been instrumental in advocating for positive changes in university policies and strategically planning improvements across various facets of Ohio State University for students. Specifically, working alongside her peers in USG she hopes to improve access to mental health resources, increase dining options to better accommodate students, and give students tangible items to improve their college experience.  In addition to Madison's USG involvement has a plethora of legal internship experiences, including her role as a Legal Intern in the Federal District Courts, as an In-House Legal Intern at Proctor and Gamble, and as a Legal intern at Frost Brown Todd Law Firm. Beyond academics and legal work, Madison is actively involved in various student organizations and has received numerous awards and honors for her outstanding achievements including the Black Girl Magic 2023 Award. In her time at Ohio State Madison hopes to make a significant impact both in her academic and extracurricular pursuits.

Madison's office is in the Student Government Suite in the Keith B. Key Center for Student Leadership and Service, located on the second floor of the Ohio Union. Her office hours are from 5-6pm on Thursdays.
