Vice President
The role of the Vice President of the Undergraduate Student Government is to advocate on behalf of undergraduate students regarding issues pertaining to all aspects of the student experience. The Vice President regularly meets with administrators to effectively accomplish policy goals. In addition, this position entails serving as a liaison to the General Assembly, and work with the Chair of the Undergraduate Caucus to make appointments for the 90 undergraduate student seats in University Senate and University Senate Committees.

Bio
Derek Moore currently serves as the Undergraduate Student Body Vice President of the Ohio State University. During his time on campus, he has demonstrated a strong focus on advocating for students and ensuring Buckeyes felt supported. He previously worked under the Associate Vice-Provost of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, focusing on how higher education can better help underrepresented students on campus and working to support the Leadership Initiatives for Women of Color. Following his position with ODI, Derek served on the S&T Committee for The Ohio Union Activities Board, creating the programming behind OSU's Welcome Week, Homecoming, and Commencement in collaboration with OSU's Student Life.
During his time at OUAB, he served on their Diversity and Inclusion board, looking at how the organization could be more inclusive and collaborative on campus. While continuing his role on the D&I Subcommittee, he led as Vice-Chair of Policy for USG's Undergraduate Black Caucus. He worked on developing an institutional strategy to help support Black students at OSU. Other on-campus involvements include being a co-founder of Fisher's incoming Earth Day initiative, a Buckeye Undergraduate Consulting Club and Fisher Honors Cohort member, and a THRIVE Computer Information Systems Scholar.
Off-campus, Derek has worked as an analyst for J.P. Morgan and as a Strategy Consultant with EY-Parthenon in New York City. He strives to use his professional background and business acumen to enhance his student advocacy through a lens of data-driven strategy. Derek is excited to utilize and develop these skills as he continues his mindful journey of impact on campus, advocating for the undergraduate student body.
