I am extremely reachable by cell phone (440-391-1502) and e-mail (tannous.2) and have been contacted by constituents to express opinions on everything from the semesters switch to requests for funding. I do my best to contact constituents, which can be difficult in the decentralized College of Social & Behavioral Sciences, but I encourage all of them to communicate with me whenever they have a problem.

USG is definitely not about resume padding for me -- if it were I would simply have joined and showed up and gone home as soon as the meetings were over. Instead, I have engrossed myself in all things student government so as to best serve my constituents -- I have been working all year on a project to create a student life guide to distribute to all freshman, I have met with representatives of the Office of Academic Affairs and created a report calling for a student-staffed walk-in advising center which I have pitched to the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education and the Vice President of Student Life, I have gotten funding for the Collegiate Conference on World Affairs to host a Model United Nations conference here at Ohio State, and I have gotten involved in numerous other initiatives and projects. I really care about bettering this University.
Plus, if I really cared about betting my resume, I would actually have one.

I have been involved in the organization for a year now and have served both in the executive committees and in the senate. So I have the advantage of having seen most parts of the organization, but not having been involved for so long that I have lost my ability to be disappointed at failures. I have seen USG do a LOT of good, even in just the past year. But I would like to see some changes, including the way Senate funds projects, the way USG markets themselves to the larger university community, and the structure of student outreach.

My least favorite day of the year would usually be the last day of spring quarter when I have to go back to Cleveland and leave OSU, but luckily I recently found out I got a job here at the university for the summer so I get to stay here year-round...and I'm excited about it! I don't know that many people that will be here over the summer so if you're staying, get at me!
