Talking to students through various organizations is the most effective way to let others know who I am. Being involved with various organizations, I know how effective a simple conversation can be in letting others know how I can be a resource for that organization or individual. Also, I'd work with advisers to see that all SBS students can feel free to contact me through email so that their ideas and concerns are addressed.

Anyone can clearly argue that running for any position or joining an organization is about resume padding. A resume is just words on paper and words cannot show an individual's passion through efforts or contribution. When asked about what is on a resume, passion is what shines through and what is on a resume will not matter. For me, being apart of USG is far from being an excuse for resume padding for myself, but more about my passion for change for the students, my college, and the campus. Working for the students and seeing that issues are talked about and that change occurs is what is important to me.

There is a need for better communication with USG leaders and the students. Through better communication, USG can make sure that the students are understood and that their needs and concerns are brought to the table and discussed without bias. Some things take time and though it might not happen in a few days or months, it is a work in progress that should not be overlooked.
