  • Off-Campus Living Area
  • I will strive to unite the off campus living area in such a way that each student feels at home where they live. This includes continuing to fight bad landlords who prey on students renting for the first time, uniting students to lobby for better service from their utilities (especially cable companies), working with both OSU police and Columbus police via the Joint Police Unit and the new substation on 11th to improve the safety and security of students, simultaneously trying to step up enforcement of the panhandling ordinance while educating students about how to deal with panhandlers and effective ways to combat homelessness, and championing any and all worthy Greek initiatives. I want to be approachable by any one of my constituents, who include students living off campus, students who frequent the off campus neighborhood, and those involved in Greek life. The most effective method of communication is through email: flynn.151@osu.edu.
  • I believe that resume padding is very real in USG senate; however, any person who joins simply for the title is not on senate for the right reasons. I promise to place students first. I will continue to serve the students of Ohio State honestly and diligently. I want to be a voice for students continually in USG as well as University Senate and its committees. If elected, the voice of my constituents will be heard crisply and clearly.
  • I would like to see cabinet and senate collaborate. All too often, it seems that cabinet and senate are working entirely as two separate organizations, sometimes at odds with each other. I feel that senators and cabinet members try to compete with each other instead of uniting to be a cohesive voice for the undergraduate students and effectively representing their interests to the University. USG is one organization with a shared mission. Intra-organization bickering and petty competition have no place in USG, particularly when it interferes with effective representation.

  • My least favorite day of the year is any day when the temperature is below zero degrees because it makes walking campus absolutely miserable. I would gladly take 80 degrees and sunny all day every day.
