  • If you elect me, I pledge to create an electronic mailing list that anyone can subscribe to. Through this mailing list I will detail what I am currently working on and what I am trying to get accomplished. I will always be willing to meet with students because I realize that by taking on this position, I need to make sure that my constituents feel as though they are being represented and their concerns are heard. I will also create another Facebook group in which students can post their concerns to see how many other people share their opinions. I will check it daily to see what issues students want dealt with. I am also always willing to meet with students in person if that is what a particular student or group would prefer.
  • Being elected to any position is an accomplishment, but I think it is clear what my intentions are and I hope that everyone is willing to help me make changes to better our education. It is probably does more harm than good to hold a position and have nothing to say as far as what you accomplished. It is foolish to think that a prior title or job entitles you to anything.
  • There is a reason why student government has the reputation of being nothing more than a means for people to pad their resumes. In order to change that USG needs more support from the student population. That means that more people need to vote because it doesnt mean much when voter turnout is less than 10% of undergraduates. So I propose we raise this to 50% by the end of the year so that the organization that is supposed to represent the entire student population, actually has support from those students. I also plan on making it mandatory for all senators to at least maintain a mailing list to constituents who subscribe detailing what they are doing. That way students will be better informed and the people that we choose to represent us are held asccountable to their campaign promises.
