I will make sure that my constituents know who I am and how they can contact me by visiting as many student organizations as possible during the time following my election in the spring. I will be sure to note any organizations that I was unable to meet with during the spring and will meet with them at the beginning of Autumn quarter.
I also plan on creating a Facebook group that will contain my contact information as well as a FAQ with answers to questions about how USG works in general and the process student organizations must go through to receive funding from USG.

Joining USG Senate is not all about resume padding. I am able to speak to this first hand since I am currently one of the three Senators representing the Fisher College of Business. When The Lantern released an article stating that Mason Library would be closed down, the other Senators and myself that represent the students in Fisher, immediately began arranging meetings to find out more details about the closing. We contacted the Director of Library Services on campus as well as one of the deans in the Fisher College of Business, Dean Unnava. We were able to determine that The Lantern had exaggerated the claims and that only the stacks were being relocated from Mason. Had my fellow Senators and I simply been concerned with padding our resumes, we would not have made any effort to work for you, the students.
I am very proud of the time and effort that all of the current USG Senators put into representing their constituents in the USG Senate and the University as a whole.

I would like to see more transparency within USG as a whole. Most students have a vague understanding of what USG does and I feel if the Senate meetings were televised on University TV and the website was updated more often, students would have a better understanding of just how much USG does for our University.
I also feel that the constituents that are represented by Senators should be sent a quarterly evaluation to fill out to share with their Senator their thoughts and how well (or how poorly) they feel they are being represented.

My least favorite day of the year is the first day when there is a significant amount of snow on the ground and I am forced to wear snow boots to walk to class or brush the snow off my car. I'm a big fan of warm weather.
